For one, this edition of the bike is rolling on 27. 5+ wheels, and uses Boost, which is no longer emerging. Its here. So on the one hand, you can say that the Mason has the same stance its always had. But in reality, youve now got the massively better traction afforded by a 27. 5+ setup, and the stiffness provided by Boost. Grip, and no flop. Its a win- win. Elsewhere, youll find the other reasons youve loved the Mason all this time. Its built upon a low-slung and slack butted and hydroformed frame, with a 120mm Rockshox Reba fork. Shifting comes through SRAM X-5 10-speed (with an X7 derailleur on the rear), and the power via Raceface Ride cranks at 36/22T. Brakes are Avid DB1 hydraulic with 180mm rotors front and back, and the wheelset used tubeless compatible DB OffPiste rims tied to Boost hubs on both ends, Thru Axle 110/15mm front, 148x12mm rear.
