One issue with the indoor dryer vent systems is that they should be kept full of water to trap lint while the warm air filters into the room. They also have a duct made of versatile foil which can be accidently crushed, obstructing air circulation from the dryer and triggering it to over heat. Like all fuel-burning appliances, gas clothes dryers must be appropriately vented to the outdoors to release gas byproducts like carbon monoxide.
