Yeti ARC-C GX Bike 2016Yeti took twenty years of their proven ARC racing and updated it with fast rolling 29” wheels, and for smaller riders, 27. 5” wheels. The frame was designed with classic ARC racing lines. However, since Yeti has become a carbon guru, it was only natural to construct these lines with carbon. The resulting ARC’s carbon frame efficiently absorbs trail chatter, and provides a comfortable ride. The tapered head tube, 15mm QR and 12×142 rear axle, ensure stiff ends for superior control on the technical single track. In order to develop the best possible cross country rocket ship, Yeti designed the ARC around its entire geometry rather than merely its wheel size. In doing so they came up with a design that utilized the 27. 5” platform for the extra small and small sizes, and a 29” wheel for the medium, large, and X-large. The X-small and small sizes have a 69. 5 degree head angle, and the medium through X-large have a 70 degree head angle. This upright geometry maximizes pedaling efficiency, especially during trying climbs. 2” tubeless tires.
