ALFA ROMEO 159 Sportwagon

Alfa Romeo released the new 159 Sportwagon in 2006. It was based on the 159 saloon car platform and was designed by the same Giorgetto Giugiaro (in collaboration with the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile). The new Alfa 159 Sportwagon featured a multi-sheet metal and laser welding frame and two-box body, being awarded a maximum 5-star rating from Euro NCAP. The new model was available with seven different engine configurations – 4 petrol and 3 diesel – and included plenty of active safety features: Fire Prevention System, electronic braking, traction control and stability systems (all standard), ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Vehicle Dynamic Control, MSR and Hill Holder function.
